Idaho Child Care Training Requirements:

In accordance with section 39-1119, each owner or operator of a daycare center licensed by the department must receive and ensure that each staff member receives and completes 4 hours annually. The training will only count for state licensing if the staff member completes it after their hire date. It will be credited for the licensing period in which the training was taken and will only count one time.

You may apply for recognition within the IdahoSTARS program when you complete 20 or more hours of professional development. Professional development hours include any combination of IdahoSTARS-approved training, targeted technical assistance, and college credits related to early childhood education (ECE).
