Montana & Lillio Academy

Can I use Lillio Academy for PD hours in Montana?

Lillio Academy is currently not approved by the Renewal Unit Provider System on the OPI Professional Learning Opportunities Portal. Please check back for more information in the near future. 

Please Note: All Webinars and Lillio Basic Courses must NOT be submitted to your registry. They do not meet specific learning requirements for the state and will not be accepted if submitted.
You can still sign up for Lillio Academy to grow your knowledge and skills as an early educator, and connect with other educators on shared learning topics.

Montana Child Care Training Requirements:

In accordance with section 37.95.162, all directors, early childhood teachers, and assistant teachers at any childcare facility must complete 16 hours of annual training to be current on the ECP Practitioner Registry.

Education and training must relate to the Montana Early Care and Education Knowledge Base and must fall within the following categories: 

  • Personal attributes/characteristics 

  • Health, safety, and nutrition (which may include training on the prevention of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) and medication administration)

  • Child growth and development 

  • Environmental design 

  • Child Guidance 

  • Family and community partnerships 

  • Program management 

  • Curriculum

  • Observation and assessment

  • Professionalism

  • Cultural and developmental diversity
