Can I use Lillio Academy for PD hours in Kentucky? 

Yes! Individual Lillio Academy courses are accepted and approved by the Secretary of the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and ECE TRIS.

Please Note: All Webinars and Lillio Basic Courses must NOT be submitted to your registry. They do not meet specific learning requirements for the state and will not be accepted if submitted.

Sign up for Lillio Academy to complete your professional development hours at your convenience! You can work at your own pace from wherever you want. Once you successfully complete a course, you can download your certificate!

Kentucky Child Care Training Requirements:

In accordance with KRS 199.896(15) and (16), all providers in the state of Kentucky are required to complete the following:

  • 6 hours of cabinet-approved orientation completed within the first three (3) months of employment in a childcare program

  • 9 hours of cabinet-approved early care and education training within the first year of employment in a childcare program, including one and one-half (1 1/2) hours of cabinet-approved pediatric abusive head trauma training

  • 15 hours of cabinet-approved early care and education training completed between July 1 and the following June 30 of each subsequent year of employment in a child care program, including one and one-half (1 1/2) hours of cabinet-approved pediatric abusive head trauma training completed once every five (5) years.
