Can I use Lillio Academy for PD hours in North Dakota?

Lillio Academy is not approved by The North Dakota Education Standards and Practices Board or the North Dakota Growing Futures Registry, as they do not approve out-of-state trainers or training. Please check back in the future for updates.

Please Note: All Webinars and Lillio Basic Courses must NOT be submitted to your registry. They do not meet specific learning requirements for the state and will not be accepted if submitted.

You can still sign up for Lillio Academy to grow your knowledge and skills as an early educator, and connect with other educators on shared learning topics.

North Dakota Child Care Training Requirements:

In accordance with 75-03-10-12, educators must complete annual department-approved training based on their hours of work per week. The same training courses may be counted toward licensing annual requirements only if at least 3 years have passed since the last completion date of that training course, with the exception of sudden infant death prevention annual training.

  • 30 or more hours per week - 13 hours annually

  • Less than 30 hours and more than 20 hours per week - 11 hours annually

  • Less than 20 hours and at least 10 hours per week - 9 hours annually

  • Less than 10 hours per week - 7 hours annually

  • Staff working with infants - 1 hour of sudden infant death prevention training annually

In accordance with section 75-03-10-10, a director must complete a minimum of 13 hours of department-approved training annually related to child care, including 1 hour on sudden infant death prevention before the director provides care to infants. A department-approved basic childcare course must be completed within 90 days of employment. The same training courses may be counted toward licensing annual requirements only if at least 3 years have passed since the last completion date of that training course, with the exception of sudden infant death prevention annual training.
