Can I use Lillio Academy for PD hours in Ohio?

Lillio Academy is currently not approval with OCCRRA. Please check back in the future for updates. 

Please Note: All Webinars and Lillio Basic Courses must NOT be submitted to your registry. They do not meet specific learning requirements for the state and will not be accepted if submitted.

You can still sign up for Lillio Academy to grow your knowledge and skills as an early educator, and connect with other educators on shared learning topics.

Ohio Child Care Training Requirements:

In accordance with Chapter 3301-24 of the Administrative Code, preschool staff members licensed by the department shall complete 10 annual clock hours, which may be part of the professional development plan. Annual refers to the school year, from July first to June thirtieth, or every twelve months from the date of hire for staff employed after the school year begins. 

Annual in-service training for preschool staff members is to be in one or more of the following areas: 

  • Child development or early childhood education

  • Ohio Approved Professional Development Training

  • Health and safety

In each building, at least one preschool staff member must complete at least 4-hours of child abuse recognition and prevention training within 2 years of employment and completed every 5 years. The child abuse recognition and prevention curriculum used in the course may be consistent with requirements established by section 3319.073 of the Revised Code or appear on the approved curriculum list posted on the department’s website.
