Can I use Lillio Academy for PD hours in Tennessee?
Yes! Lillio Academy courses are individually approved by the Tennessee Department of Human Services, Child Care Services and TrainTN.
Please Note: All Webinars and Lillio Basic Courses must NOT be submitted to your registry. They do not meet specific learning requirements for the state and will not be accepted if submitted.
Sign up for Lillio Academy to complete your professional development hours at your convenience! You can work at your own pace from wherever you want. Once you complete a course, you can download your certificate! Your attendance will be directly submitted to the TrainTN Registry.
Tennessee Child Care Training Requirements:
In accordance with Rule 1240-04-01-.06, primary educators are required to complete 18 hours of professional development annually. Educators are required to complete 12 hours of professional development annually. Directors are required to complete 24 hours of professional development annually. Assistant directors are required to complete 18 hours of professional development annually.
Minimum training is required for the following areas:
Health and safety (min 6 hours)
Pre-literacy and literacy skills (min 3 hours)
Administration, management, and supervisory training (min 4 hours - assistant directors only)
Every 5 years, educators must complete adverse childhood experiences. (Length not specified)
Of the total annual hours required, 4 hours may be earned by conducting training. Hours earned during the pre-licensure and provisional licensure period may count towards these total hours.
