The Montana Early Learning Standards represent the most recent research as well as evidence-based practices in the field of early education. Montana’s Early Learning Standards take into account the uniqueness of each child, allowing the standards to be flexible for individual children and their needs. As growth and development does not happen at the same time for every child, meaningful experiences that are developmentally appropriate and guided by the standards will assist children in meeting their milestones.
