New Hampshire Early Learning Standards

Location: New Hampshire, US

Authors: New Hampshire Department of Education

The New Hampshire Early Learning Standards act as a resource for all those in influence the education and development of children. The standards have been created to support and increase development and learning. The standards work to assist with the learning and development of children from birth to five years of age. The standards place an emphasis on inclusivity and diversity.

New Hampshire’s Early Learning Standards focus on five domains, social and emotional, language and emergent literacy, cognitive, physical development and health, as well as creative expression and aesthetic appreciation. The domains were carefully chosen as they cover a broad array of developmental and learning possibilities. To further define the learning experience, each domain is broken down and divided into constructs, indicating key concepts and essential learning experiences.
