Wyoming Early Learning Guidelines and Foundations

Framework

Location: Wyoming, US

Authors: WY Quality Counts

Wyoming’s Early Leaning Guidelines and Foundations provide standardized guidelines for parents and educators. These guidelines provide information of what to observe through learning and development to ensure every child is developing appropriately. As each child is unique, the guidelines are flexible and should not be used to hold a child back.

The guidelines are divided by age and by domain. The domains in the guidelines are sense of self and relationships, curious minds, strong and healthy bodies, and communication. Each domain is paired with a goal and an indicator to ensure proper development is occurring. The guidelines work to provide a clear vision of each step of development in the early years, working to support growth and development as well as offering tools and resources to parents and educators to guarantee optimal learning.
